Yes, every few weeks, your body needs to take a slight break before moving further ahead and so does your mind. Not convinced? If you have been working hard in the gym for the past few months and have reached some of your goals, then there is a huge chance that you must have reached a plateau. At such a point, further results stop showing and is a sign that the body needs to refresh, rest and then get back after a few days. Make sure you that that break at this time and let your body recuperate.

You are Overworked

Sometimes people might not realize it but while working hard too much, their bodies become overworked and so do their minds. At this point, it is very important to take an exercise break to set new goals again and to build up that spirit or passion of fitness. If you have started feeling restless, lethargic or bored, make sure you take a few days off from the gym.

Another reason why you must go for a week’s off from the gym or your exercise routine is because while working out continuously and regularly, our minds tend to become drained and are only keeping up so that the body can benefit.
