Chickpeas are perfect for more options than just hummus! They’re loaded with protein, fiber, iron, and folate, and also have a neutral taste, so they go together with everything. We like chickpeas, therefore we especially love these honey roasted ones. These the health advantages from your chickpeas, they may have healthy fats with the coconut oil. The spices don’t just add flavor-they add antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. Make a cup of those healthy honey roasted chickpeas to use salads?or enjoy like a snack. They’ll spice up any dish, and will help keep you full until up coming meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons coconut oil, melted
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground clove
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne
  • 1/2 teaspoon Kosher or sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Pat chickpeas dry wtih a clean dish towel or paper towel then include melted coconut oil. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread chickpeas in a even layer. Note: Many of the chickpeas may pop around the oven.
  3. Bake Thirty to forty minutes or maybe until beans will turn crispy. The chickpeas should have no softness left when taken from the oven.
  4. While chickpeas are baking, combine remaining ingredients and mix well. Gently toss hot chickpeas during the honey and spice mixture. Go back to the baking sheet, spread within a even layer, and bake one more 10-20 minutes, or until a glaze has formed in the chickpeas. Cool completely before serving.
  5. Store within the airtight container at 70 degrees.
