Crock pot Paella
Traditional Spanish paella is usually a time-consuming dish?with?countless variations seeing as there are families vacation! If you’re not trying to find that kind of commitment, our Slow Cooker Paella has all the flavors of your traditional paella without the problem. Simply brown the chicken and throw everything for your slow cooker,?then let it do its thing. Only a couple of hours later you\’ll find a complete Spanish comfort food feast. You don\’t have to babysit a pan!
Serve which includes a nice glass of Spanish wine, cheese, and crusty bread for any flavorful trip to Spain without leaving your office!
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon organic extra-virgin olive oil
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 cups short grained rice (optional: arborio)
- 1 (14 ounce) can diced tomatoes, drained
- 2 cups low sodium chicken broth
- 4 ounces turkey chorizo, roughly chopped
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 2 cups peas, fresh or frozen
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- ? teaspoon smoked paprika
- ? teaspoon saffron
- 1 bay leaf
Instructions
- Heat the oil inside of a pan on medium. Add the chicken and cook through to the outsides are generally browned. Add the many ingredients, like the chicken, for the crock pot and cook on low for Several hours, high for A few hours, or up until the rice has assimilated the liquid. Take out the bay leaf and serve with fresh parsley and fresh lemon juice!
